Please Sir, May I Have Some More

CBC has a new story on the plight of the Innu in Natuashish. To those who have been following this story, this comes as no big surprise. This town has a disease that you can’t shake by moving everyone down the coast. Building another building won’t do it either. Can you imagine spending the equivalent of $400K per person and getting no results? It’s time that the provincial or federal government step up and take responsibility for the children of this town. How do they do it? They need to make brave decisions–not politically correct ones. Stop throwing money at the problem without offering solutions. Buildings don’t solve problems, people help people solve these problems.
